Nicolae Dohotaru
1982 – Graduated from the State Conservatoire “G.Musicescu” in Chisinau, class of the conductor: Anatolie Ulanov.
1982-1984 – Post university education in conducting orchestra, class of Professor Isai Alterman.
1984-1986 – Postgraduate education at the Culture University in Moscow, class of Professor Kiril Tihonov.
1986-1987 – Intern at the conductor Ovidiu Balan, Romania.
1988-1992 – Lecturer and head of department “Orchestra conducting” at the State Institute of Arts in Moldova. Simultaneously is hired at the State Conservatoire and National Opera.
1990-2002 – Conductor at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet
2002-2010 – Artistic director and chief conductor at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet.
2010-2013 – Conductor at the Antalya State Opera and Ballet Theater
2014- present – Conductor at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet “Maria Biesu”
2016 – present – Artistic director and Conductor at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet “Maria Biesu”.
Collaborates with the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra “S. Lunchevici”, Opera houses from Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, Timisoara, Constanta (Romania), Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Odessa (Ukraine), “Opera and Ballet International” company from UK, “Concerlirica” from Spain, “The Concertgebouw” from Amsterdam.
Directed the following operas at the Robert Albert Hall from London: “Aida” and “Nabucco” by G.Verdi; “Turandot” and “Tosca” by G.Puccini, etc.
